Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of displaying contents to multiple viewers, which includes steps of: forming multiple volumetric images, each being an image of at least a portion of the content and each being viewable from its own viewability space; and overlapping a portion of one or more of the viewability spaces with pupils of each of the viewers.SOLUTION: A method of implementing a user interface with a computer using a floating-in-the-air display includes: having a computer display a first image in a display space of a first floating-in-the-air display; having a user insert a real object into the display space of the first floating-in-the-air display; having the computer locate a location of the real object within the display space of the first floating-in-the-air display; and having the computer use the location as input to a first floating-in-the-air user interface.
