Abstract

This study followed and analyzed the practices of a group of young Arab instructors (YAIs) as they facilitated STEM outreach activities in Arab schools throughout Israel. Using the construct of Figured Worlds, it unpacks the social construction and negotiation of power relations in the classroom, highlights conflicts between the YAIs and teachers, and the ways the YAIs enacted their critical agency.
