Tunable group delay staircases for generation of WDM pulse bursts from short optical pulses

Abstract

We demonstrate tunable GD staircases by cascading a narrowband TODC and continuous CD systems. The TODC compresses a significant fraction of the narrowband TODC FSR, resulting in transform limited pulse bursts distinguished by wavelength.
