Towards Precision Measurements of Radiation Reaction

Abstract

We find the long-time dynamics of charges in electromagnetic fields, revealing that charge energy loss to radiation leads to counter-intuitive acceleration. Using this phenomenon, we propose a method to observe radiation reaction with weak fields.
