Abstract
An essay of the relationship between Israeli thinker Yeshayahu Leibowitz and French Jewish philosopher Emmanuel Levinas is presented. It argues the philosophical affinity between them based on their call of religion. Topics include the critical inquiry of theodicy, role of German culture on the intellectual and cultural development of Leibowitz, and antisemitism before the World War II
