Abstract

Cycling is an important field of sport, and a great example of a sport that is highly measured due to cycling computers that monitor and document workouts in detail. Having the data of each cyclist stored in a centralized database enables us to perform analytics in order to support the team’s decision-making, such as who to send to which race, coaching decisions, and directuer sportifs preparation towards races. We describe here The Velodrome, a web based online tool that we developed with the Israel Premier Tech pro-cycling team to facilitate decision-making in the team. The Velodrome stores the data of all the cyclists’ activities and enables to analyze multiple cyclists’ data in parallel, unlike existing analytics frameworks that enable to analyze a single cyclist.
