Abstract
Edition of a Coptic version of the apocryphal response of Jesus to Abgar, housed at the Österreichische Nationalbibliothek in Vienna and dated to the sixth or seventh century AD. This text, like other attestations of the Jesus-Abgar correspondence, likely functioned as an apotropaic amulet.
