Abstract
The article argues that the application of quantitative approaches to explain and evaluate organizational problems, anomalies, and management-related phenomena lying beneath the radar may serve as a critical means of laying the foundation for theory generation. It says that quantitative research is founded upon a hypothetical-deductive model driven by the testing of general a priori propositions.
