Abstract
The article a argues that in order to secure a sufficient level of free and unlicensed access to knowledge, it is necessary to develop a more comprehensive approach to permissible uses that would incorporate fair use in new and innovative ways. Topics discussed include challenges in the online education; approach to fair use that focuses on user rights could enhance fair use; and need of laws to enhance fair use and secure access to knowledge.
