Abstract

Background:Forgoing crucial healthcare services is one of several troubling phenomena in the field of population health due to its possible deleterious effect on level of health. The study seeks to identify the effects of various predictors, particularly economic situation and state of health, on elders’ forgoing of healthcare services. It also examines the relation between two factors—macroeconomic indicators and funding regimes for healthcare systems in European countries—and the predisposition to forgo healthcare services. Methods:
