Abstract

This special issue is based on papers from the International Symposium on Modeling and Optimization of Wireless and Mobile Networks (WiOpt), held in Avignon, France, in June 2010. Among the 37 papers presented at the symposium, 6 of the top papers, whose topics fall in the scope of Performance Evaluation, have been selected for fast-track publication in this journal. We would like to thank all the authors and reviewers, whose efforts have led to considerable revisions and extensions of the papers from their original versions presented at the symposium, to those that are included in this issue.
