Abstract

The Palestinian members of the Israeli Parliament were, as more often than not, hard up and desperate for allies. With the backing of his right-wing coalition, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had pushed forward a controversial bill that would limit the time of day and volume that mosques could use for the Muslim call to prayer.
