Abstract

Background/Aims: One model of bipolar disorder
(BPD), supported by structural and functional neuroimaging studies, proposes that BPD involves a hypersensitive behavioral activation system (BAS). According to this model, persons with bipolar
disorder, even when euthymic, should display traits
such as increased aggression and increased reward
sensitivity as compared to healthy controls. This
study examined these predictions through the use of
computerized behavioral assessment tasks.
