Abstract
This chapter reviews research studies on Holocaust education written in
Hebrew and carried out in Israel. ¬e shaping of consciousness and Holo
caust memory faces a signifcant intergenerational change: the time is com
ing when no survivors will remain and memory will chiefly be shaped by the
second and third generations, by education in schools and by the rich docu
mentation as well as historical research that the first generation left behind.
