Abstract

Prescriptive agriculture is a new area of study in the field of agriculture that has emerged as a result of the usage of WSNs, the IoTs, and sophisticated technology. Precision agriculture (PA) that involves monitoring, computing, and reacting to both inter-and intra-farm variability of agricultural fields, is enforced by prescriptive agriculture. In this chapter, it is discussed how the development of WSN, APSim, and communication models sparked a new approach to irrigation optimization in the agricultural industry. Sensors are configured to gather data on environmental variables including temperature and relative humidity, with the data being sent to a server through a GSM module. In order to assess the datasets for growing crops, inter-and intra-farm field circumstances were taken into account. Finally, an approach created by way2SMS and WebHost server decimates irrigation-related information.
