Abstract
Dental caries is a multifactorial disease that results from biologic and genetic factors, environmental conditions, and hazardous cariogenic habits. Therefore we can't totally prevent dental caries, only to reduce the risk for caries of an individual. This case report represents a 9 years old patient which diagnosed with rampant caries, in Pedodontic department of Dental school in Tel-Aviv University. This article describes the treatment and the follow up during 5 years. The case emphasizes the significance of biological and genetic factors in the etiology of rampant caries, beyond the environmental conditions as dietary and hygiene habits.
