Abstract

One of the hallmarks of interest is active pursuit of more information about topics of interest. Therefore, information seeking, specifically asking questions, could be used as a behavioral indicator of interest. The interest and ability to independently seek science knowledge in response to current events or personal concerns is one of the fundamental goals of the science literacy movement.
