Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound global impact. Indeed, the economic, social, educational, and sociological implications of the pandemic are so overwhelming that it will take the world many years to recover from them. In addition, both national and international organizations will need to seriously reconsider how they handled the crisis and how they conveyed information. One important issue that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic was, and continues to be, the tremendous amount of information that, thanks to the digital revolution, flowed to the public from different official and unofficial sources.
