Optical resonances in topological defect structures

Abstract

We study numerically optical resonances in 2D topological defect structures with wavelength-scale anisotropic scattering units. Both spatially extended and localized modes exhibit vortex-like energy flow due to breaking of chiral symmetry of the underlying structure.
