Non labeled tumor detection via polarization and spectral properties of gold nanoparticles

Abstract

We present a novel concept involving optical properties of gold-nanorods. When the gold-nanorods are located in a tumor the reflected light has low degree of polarization at two specific reflected wavelengths.
