Multifunctional implantable pill for biomedical treatment

Abstract

In this paper we present preliminary clinical trials obtained with novel implantable pill that we have developed. The pill is capable of applying in-body phototherapy, low level laser therapy (LLLT), UV light for sterilization, controlled injection of chemicals and communicating with external control box including the transmission of images from inside the patient's body.
