Abstract

We present a semianalytical technique for achieving perfect transmission of power across H-plane bends in rectangular single-mode waveguides. Inspired by recent work on metagratings, we utilize a single polarizable element in conjunction with modal analysis to eliminate spurious scattering. This simple concept, verified via full-wave simulations, forms an attractive alternative to the cumbersome waveguide deformations commonly used to implement this functionality to date.
