Abstract

The problem of least square ltering of signals with bounded measurement errors is considered and a batch ltering solution is proposed. This batch lter is demonstrated on the problem of estimating the line of sight rate from line of sight angle in the case of homing intercept guidance using Proportional Navigation Guidance. The performance of the guidance loop is compared to more conventional solutions, and it is shown that the improvement obtained using the proposed lter is signicant.
