Abstract
In recent years, governmental lawyers, in Israel (and in other placed around the world) have become increasingly involved in issues relating to warfare. This manifested itself in both the greater use of legal counsel in real time and in the growth of retroactive enforcement (investigations and prosecutions). The purpose of this short article is to respond briefly to some of the main criticism of this phenomenon, as it is raised in Israeli public discourse.
