Abstract

The current trends in the evolution of science and technology are characterized by the development, adoption, and widespread use of diverse models that are based both on the traditional experimental approach and on the use of the latest information technologies. It is already impossible to name a field of human activity in which modeling methods would not be used to some extent. Modeling (in the broad sense) is the main method for investigating complex systems in all areas of knowledge and is also used to obtain scientifically substantiated estimates of their characteristics for adopting solutions in various areas of engineering activity.
