Abstract
Through a survey initiated three years ago, we examine the way in which students of French as Foreign Language courses given by the department of French Culture at Bar-Ilan University visualize France and the French language, in order to update our study programs, as well as our teaching methods. In a broader perspective, the survey’s results are translated into promotional strategies, at a time when the Humanities are increasingly on the defensive.
