Homogeneous filtering and differentiation based on sliding modes

Abstract

The proposed nonlinear filtering differentiators combine the prominent features of linear filters capable of rejecting large high-frequency signal components, with the exactness, finite-time convergence and optimal accuracy asymptotics of the sliding-mode-based observers and differentiators. New tracking filtering differentiators are proposed. Discretization of the filters is studied. Computer simulation illustrates the theoretical results.
