Green function methods for optoelectronics

Abstract

We discuss implementation of Green function methods to simulation of transport and optical response (fluxes, noise and noise spectrum) in molecular junctions. We indicate deficiencies in standard tools of nonlinear optical spectroscopy when applied to open molecular systems, and suggest suitable alternatives based on many-body flavors of the nonequilibrium Green function method.
