Abstract
This qualitative study explores the feelings, thoughts, and perceptions of Jewish Israeli social work field supervisors regarding Arab Israeli social work trainees, against the background of the ongoing violent political conflict in the region. Two key findings emerge from analysis of the supervisors' comments. One is of the supervisors' sympathetic awareness of the many difficulties that these trainees encountered. The other is that the supervisors themselves experienced considerable difficulties in the dyad. Along with ample quotes and discussion, this article offers detailed practical suggestions both for education and supervision.
