Factors associated with help-seeking among people of the haredi faith-based community

As members of a conservative faith-based community, the Haredis find it difficult to seek professional psychological help. This study, conducted among 146 Haredi men and women, explores the existing support mechanisms within the community and how they impact professional help-seeking. The findings show that the readiness to seek professional help is viewed as a need that does not conflict with either the society's religious views or with the religious leaders, such as the rabbis.
