Abstract

Academia allocates a great deal of resources to the development of conference activities, and with so many conferences happening around the globe, their importance in the academic community is obvious. They also have a benefit of contributing to international cooperation among scholars. However, the research on conference selection is underinvestigated. The following project explores the factors affecting academic faculty members' selection of academic conferences. After data selection, the project was divided into three sections, in order to investigate different constructs that affect academic conference selection.
