Abstract
Prof. Zehavit Gross explores in the fourth chapter how Palestinian Arab
and Jewish Israeli university students in Israel, attending a course on
conflict resolution, deal with their stereotypical views of and prejudices to
the other, as well as their complex emotions of fear, hate, anxiety, and love
during a period of tension and violence. This violence changes the power
structure and the dynamics of the mutual relationships between the
students who identify with different narratives and sides in the conflict,
while attending a course that aims to construct bridges of hope.
