Journal of Cell Science was anonymously alerted to duplication of bands in the actin western blot shown in Fig. 1A. The authors no longer have the original western blot data for this panel and therefore cannot explain what has happened; however, they have provided western blot data from several similar experiments to support the validity of the results in Fig. 1A and state that the conclusions of the article are not affected by the error. The additional data are available from the authors upon reasonable request. The journal is publishing this note to inform readers of the issue.
