Efficient incoherent pumping for high-Q micro-lasers

Abstract

We demonstrate efficient incoherent pumping for high-Q micro-laser. We implement this concept in organic and Nd:YAG micro-lasers to deliver fully integrated on-chip coherent light source and solar-powered laser that doesn't require tracking the sun.
