note = "Funding Information: The reviews section of this issue opens with Aaron S. Allen{\textquoteright}s substantial reflection on Sustainable Futures for Music Cultures: An Ecological Perspective edited by Huib Schippers and Catherine Grant. This edited volume is the research output of a five-year project funded by the Australian Research Council and presents nine case studies across a range of music cultures. In each case study, a unifying {\textquoteleft}five-domain framework{\textquoteright} is used to explore issues of sustainability. Allen{\textquoteright}s extremely thorough survey identifies the strengths of the volume but also criticises its lack of engagement with issues of {\textquoteleft}strong sustainability{\textquoteright} and ecology. The review that follows is by CedarBough T. Saeji who writes on Keith Howard{\textquoteright}s monograph SamulNori: Korean Percussion for a Contemporary World, a book that grew from its origins as a case study in the Sustainable Futures for Music Cultures research project already described.",
