Abstract
This article exposes the extent of the significance of the Book of Genesis for the Chronicler. It attempts to explore how the Chronicler's allusions relate to many passages from Genesis and concern three central subjects: the theme of chosenness (election), the promises to the patriarchs, and the concept that "the deeds of the patriarchs are a sign to the sons".
