Abstract

An apparatus for measuring target velocity includes a transducer (30) and a processor (40). The transducer is configured to transmit into a target a set of pulses, which is sparse but has a recoverable power spectrum, and to receive a signal reflected from the target in response to the set of pulses. The processor is configured to estimate a velocity of a selected region in the target by analyzing the reflected signal.
