Abstract
Frequently, when a suspicion of sexual abuse arises in therapy, the child's actions constitute the main channel for sharing the abuse. This chapter addresses the dynamic meanings of the body and its movements, and examines ways in which the existence of child sexual abuse can be discerned based on manifestations and expressions of the body. A case study is used to demonstrate and to propose insights relating to Dance/Movement Therapy interventions needed at various stages of treatment.
