Abstract

The paper proposes an evasion guidance algorithm under the hypothesis that the interceptor may be distracted by a decoy and that the probability that the decoy is successful is known in advance. Under these conditions, a guidance law is proposed that ensures a certain minimum miss distance with respect to the interceptor if the decoy is not successful, and, on average, requires a minimum quadratic integral guidance effort from the part of the evader.
