Abstract
The radical growth in the availability of both data and computational resources required for processing data, has led to a corresponding increase in demand for data scientists. Following the universities and the industrial demand, many initiatives to teach data science to high school pupils are emerging. The question we address is: How should data science educators be prepared to teach data science? We describe our experience teaching the Methods of Data Science Teaching (MDST) course and illustrate how we analyzed its design and implementation using the TPACK framework of teachers’ knowledge.
