Cryptography in Constant Parallel Time Introduction

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

This book studies the parallel-time complexity of cryptography. Specifically, we study the possibility of implementing cryptographic tasks by NC0 functions, namely by functions in which each output bit depends on a constant number of input bits. We provide strong evidence for the possibility of cryptography in NC0, settling a longstanding open question.
