Creation of Photonic Cat and GKP States Using Modulated Electrons

Abstract

We show how the coherent shaping of free-electron wavefunctions enables the construction of coherent grid states. We present a scheme to create Schrödinger cat and GKP states, which are sought-after for fault-tolerant photonic quantum computation.
