Abstract
The model demonstrates a tDCS-induced alteration of synaptic vesicle release. tDCS induces a small variation in terminal membrane potential sufficient to activate voltage-gated calcium channels. This initial calcium influx act as a feedback loop for further calcium channels opening, eventually inducing calcium elevation. Calcium concentration control spontaneous vesicle release, instigating a disproportionate vesicle release for a sub-threshold stimulus.
