Abstract

There is a typographical error in Eq. (28), representing the strain energy of an axisymmetric curved plate using Berger's approximation (Berger (1954)). The energy expression should read as follows [Formula presented]The correct form of the energy expression was utilized in the subsequent equilibrium equations and computational results.
