Abstract
The high-tech industry is considered to be a major source of income in Israel. As part of the many high-tech companies operating in Israel, there are many domestic and worldwide companies that are active in the circuit-design and related fields. This short report does not attempt to describe this complex and rich set of activities, but rather focuses on research and teaching activities within the Israeli academic sector, which plays a supportive but vital role. The Israeli universities are known as a major source for leading R&D engineers in the Israeli high-tech. Specifically EE and CS graduates comprise the majority of Israel high-tech leaders and have a significant presence in the technical and scientific leadership of US high-tech companies and universities.
