Abstract
The piezoelectric and nonlinear optical properties of diphenylalanine peptide tubes have been investigated. The structure of peptide tubes has been studied, and the analysis of the anisotropy of the piezoelectric and nonlinear optical responses during the thermally induced phase transition (T = 150°C) has been performed. It has been shown that, both during homogeneous and local heatings in a laser beam, the observed phase transition is reconstructive.
