title = "Beyond Li-ion batteries the challenge of Li-sulfur batteries",
abstract = "Systematic methodologies were developed to investigate capacity fading mechanisms of Li-S systems (SPM, HR spectroscopy, ED) Alternative sulfur cathodes based on commercial activated carbon fibers/cloth/powder were fabricated for encapsulating Li-poly-sulfides inside the porous matrices, and successfully tested Amorphous silicon electrodes were coupled with C-S cathodes to demonstrate the SLS Concept: Si-Li-S. The same electrolyte solutions are suitable. We demonstrate superb C-S cathodes ILs based on the anion -N(SO2F)2 (FSI), excellent for Si electrodes as well. We demonstrated also the use of Li2S cathodes with red-ox mediators.",
