Abstract
We present a simple method to dynamically modify the focal position of a Bessel beam without changing its non-diffraction length and intensity profile. This is done by generating the Bessel beam in Fourier space using an annular aperture while adding a radial grating to the aperture with a tunable periodicity. This method can be useful for various applications, such as microscopy and optical trapping.
