Attosecond photoionization self-probing spectroscopy

Abstract

We demonstrate a new spectroscopic approach by replacing tunneling ionization with XUV photoionization in high harmonic generation spectroscopy. Our method resolves the underlying mechanism and allows reconstructing the ionization dynamics in strongly IR-driven helium.
