Abstract

We present a theoretical analysis of a Bragg waveguide with artificial materials layers, and its performance is compared with a single layer (dielectric or artificial). Four parameters are in the focus of the present study: group and energy velocities, interaction impedance, and maximum acceleration efficiency.
